CARIBOU, Maine — The Aroostook Retired Educators Association will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center.
Registration will begin at 11 a.m. with a roast pork dinner served at noon. The cost of the meal is $15.
The program will feature service above self, highlighted by Rena Kearney’s service trip to Guatemala with Rotary International.
The August meeting was held at the Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center. Guest speaker Rick Duncan presented an overview of The Aroostook House of Comfort. From an idea to a concept, from funding to building, he took the group on an amazing journey, ending with a virtual tour of the facility. Pat Dow also gave a brief overview of the long-term-care ombudsman program, which is an advocacy program for long-term-care patients.
Donations of food items for the food pantries in The County and donations to the Bulging Backpack Program are always welcomed.
