PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department is gearing up for its after-school youth basketball program.
For first and second grade “Little Wildcats,” registration will be held Oct. 1-12, schedules will be ready by Oct. 19 and the season will begin on Oct. 22.
Registration for third and fourth grade basketball is Nov. 12-23, with schedules ready by Nov. 30. The season kicks off Dec. 3.
Fifth and sixth grade basketball registration runs from Dec. 31, 2018, to Jan. 11, 2019. Schedules will be ready by Jan. 18 and the season starts Jan. 22.
Pre-K and kindergarten “Mini Hoopsters” registration takes place Feb. 25-March 8, 2019. The schedules will be ready by March 15 and the season begins March 18.
Registration can be done in person at the Sargent Family Community Center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or online at pirec.org. The program fee for all groups is $25 per child. There is an additional non-resident fee of $50 per family.
