We are getting excited and we have set the date — the Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center has teamed up with the Central Aroostook Humane Society once again to put on the ninth annual Toast to the Animals, a beer and wine tasting and silent auction fundraiser.
The Toast will be held a little earlier this year on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $15, available at the door, and all the proceeds will benefit the Central Aroostook Humane Society.
If you are a Common Crossing and Star City Syndicate fan, then you will love the fact that we have Brian and Chris all set to entertain everyone again this year. We will have plenty of door prizes to go around, delicious food to sample, a 50 /50 raffle, and don’t forget the wide variety of silent auction items to bid on. And of course, you can’t forget the wonderful selection of unique beers and wines to sample. Other non-alcoholic beverages will also be available, of course.
We have had some amazing individuals, families and businesses step up over the years to become a Toast sponsor. Individuals can also sponsor in memory of a loved one or a beloved pet. We offer two levels of support. For a $100 “The Friend of Animals” sponsorship donation, you will receive two tickets to the event (a $30 value), recognition at the Toast and also recognition on the CAHS Facebook page. For a $500.00 “Top Dog” or “Fat Cats” sponsorship, you will receive eight event tickets (a $120.00 value), a special VIP table with generous recognition throughout the event and also recognition on our Facebook page (plus a few more surprises). We depend on our generous sponsors and silent auction donations to help make this event happen. We would love to have you stop by the Central Aroostook Humane Society and see the beautiful animals that are waiting for a loving family to call their own. Our hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., closing for lunch from 12 to 12:30.
