HOULTON, Maine — The Maine State Police Troop F barracks in Houlton responded to 116 calls for service during the period of Oct. 1-7, including the following.
Tuesday, Oct. 2
Woodland: Trooper Levesque is currently investigating a theft of eight to 10 potato barrels from a potato house in Woodland. Tr. Levesque was contacted directly about the theft and is currently working to develop leads in this case.
Frenchville: Tr. Curtin met with a Frenchville resident who reported having a significant amount of cash stolen from her home. The complainant had been enduring cancer treatments and had been saving money for emergency expenses. The investigation is ongoing.
Wednesday, Oct. 3
Woodland: Tr. Kilcollins responded to a single-vehicle crash in Woodland that had four occupants. A juvenile female was driving the vehicle, told the dispatcher the wheel came off, and she went off the roadway. Tr. Kilcollins arrived at the scene and determined the driver was going to fast through a corner, lost control of the vehicle, went off the roadway causing the car to roll several times. No one was injured in the crash. The driver did not have a driver’s license and was issued a criminal summons for operating without a license. Tr. Kilcollins also summonsed the owner of the vehicle, who was a passenger and allowed the juvenile to drive, for permitting unlawful use.
Saturday, Oct. 6
Presque Isle: Tr. Pescitelli made a traffic stop in Presque Isle and as a result of the stop, he summonsed the female operator for operating under suspension.
Hodgdon: Tr Bell was monitoring traffic in Hodgdon and he saw a vehicle pass by him and he recognized the male operator. He ran the registration plate and found it to have been expired since 2013 and also found that the operator was under suspension for failing to pay fines. Tr Bell stopped the vehicle and summonsed the male for OAS and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
