PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Elaine Ruth Tardiff, 76, passed away Wednesday morning, September 26, 2018, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. She was born Sept. 24, 1942, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Elwin and Annie (Grant) Munn.
She worked at Aroostook Shoe Co., Viner Bros., Pepsi Cola for 16 years, and then at Smythe’s IGA as a bagger.
She is survived by two brothers, Charles Munn, and Mike Munn and his wife, Valerie, all of Presque Isle; four sisters, Shirley Putnam of Brewer, Jean Clark, Mavis Glidden, Bonnie Ouellette and her husband, Beecher, all of Presque Isle; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Gary, Donnie, and Arthur; and a sister, Brenda.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at County Dialysis, The Aroostook Health Center Skilled Unit in Mars Hill, and Eastern Maine Medical Center ICU for all their great care and support.
Relatives and friends may call 6 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2018, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street, Presque Isle, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Interment will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Fairmount Cemetery.
