PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle Community Players, in partnership with the University of Maine at Presque Isle, will present “Imagine,” their fall music revue, on Friday and Saturday, October 19 and 20, and October 26 and 27, in the Auditorium at Wieden Hall on the UMPI campus.
Performances will begin at 7 p.m.
Written and arranged by Players members, “Imagine” will feature 22 songs, ranging from the Five Satins’ ’50’s doo-wop all the way to the late ’80’s with a Whitney Houston classic.
Musical director Claudia Stevens said this is music that unites.
“We thought this would be a good time to remember some of the songs that impacted us during other challenging times during our collective lifetimes,” she said. “I think the audiences will have a great time and will be singing along with a lot of the music.”
In all, some 20 singers and musicians from The County and New Brunswick will perform.
Tickets are $10 and are on sale at the Players’ website, picplayers.com; the Aroostook Centre Mall; Goin’ Postal; the UMPI Campus Store; and at the door, 45 minutes before each show. A portion of the proceeds will benefit renovations to the Auditorium at Wieden Hall.
