PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Randy B. Holmes, 65, of Presque Isle, Maine passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 18, 2018 at Maine Medical Center.
He was born to parents Lester and Blanche Holmes on May 5, 1953, in Spokane Washington. He gave his service to the United States Army for eight years and attended college at Phoenix University. Randy worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 35 years before retiring at age 55.
Randy is survived by his wife and best friend, Kathy of 20 years; mother, Blanche Holmes; daughters, Erin Holmes, and Erin Desfosses; sons, Michael Whitmer, Dirk Whitmer, and Evan Horne; brother, Brad Holmes; grandson, Brandon Cropley, Owen Cropley, and Aiden Desfosses; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Holmes; brother, Timothy Holmes; and son, Joey.
Randy was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone. We are all heartbroken that he was taken to soon but are grateful for all the fond memories we were able to create.
Services will take place at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou on October 29, 2018, for immediate family. A celebration of life will follow at Teresa’s Corner Cafe & Bakery from 12 p.m.- 2 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Full obituary can be viewed on www.hobbsfuneralhome.com.
