The Town of Easton will provide a collection point this Saturday, Oct. 27, at the town garage on the Fry Pan Road for household junk, such as appliances, tires, furniture, wood, etc. Wood products must be separated. No household garbage or used oil will be allowed.
There will also be a collection point next to the recycling igloos behind the town office to dispose of electronics such as: televisions, computers, monitors, printers, fluorescent bulbs, circuit boards, cell phones, fax machines, scanners, laptops, DVD/VCR players, batteries and copiers. All recyclables must be deposited in the igloos behind the town office. This is for Easton residents only.
Coordinate your fall cleaning with the town cleanup day and make use of our efforts to make Easton a more beautiful place to live. No commercial loads will be allowed.

Harvest party
The Easton PTO will host their annual Harvest Party from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Easton Elementary School.
There is no charge for this event, we only ask that you bring a non-perishable item, which will be donated to the Friends Helping Friends food bank. This event is for children up to grade 6. There will be games, bounce houses, candy, cake walk, and snacks in the cafeteria.
Immediately following, there will be a trunk-or-treat event at the Easton Wesleyan Church from 3 to 4 p.m., followed by a performance by the Supreme Court Jesters at 4 p.m. All are welcome.

At the Science Center
On Saturday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m., the Francis Malcolm Planetarium will present an all-new full dome/video program. “Fragile Planet.”
Produced by the California Academy of Sciences, “Fragile Planet” explores the innovative use of technology in better understanding Earth. Other solar system worlds come under examination in a broadband celebration of the planetary neighborhood.

Bears sweatshirts
The Easton Recreation Department will be selling royal blue Easton Bears sweatshirts.
There are three options: traditional cotton crew, $20; traditional cotton hoodie, $27; and polyester hoodie (similar to Under Armor), $32. A name can be added to the back for $5. Available sizes are children’s small, medium, large and adult’s small, medium, large, XL, 2X, 3X and 4X. Sizes 2X and up will cost an extra $2.
Orders must be received by email at recreation@eastonme.com no later than Monday, Nov. 5. Orders do not have to be prepaid, but if you order you are responsible for pick-up/payment at Town Office within two weeks of the order being completed (approximately mid-November).
Zumba is back
A five-week Zumba session started Oct. 15th and will run through Nov. 15. Classes will be held at 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays at the Easton Elementary Gym, instructed by Theresa Bonner. The cost is by donation.

Craft Fair
The annual Craft Fair is slated Saturday, Dec. 1, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Easton Elementary School.
Crafters should reserve a space by emailing crazycountygirl96@gmail.com or calling Melissa at 227-4093. Spots are $20 before Oct. 31 or until full, whichever comes first. After October 31st it will increase to $40.
Registration money benefits the Small School Restoration in Easton. There will also be raffles that directly benefit the Paige Aerin Lento Memorial.
Bone Builders
Bone Builders class meets Mondays and Fridays starting at 9:45 in the Recreation Room at the Manor. FMI contact Julia Allen.
Yoga for kids
Children’s yoga is underway at the Rec Center through Nov. 5.
Classes take place at the Rec. until 4:15 p.m. Children must have a note to ride the bus from school to the Rec.
Open to Kindergarten and up. Julie French is the instructor.
