PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Northern Light Home Care and Hospice will present a seminar at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at A.R. Gould Hospital in Presque Isle to help people who are grieving during the holiday season.
This one-evening session will address those things that often trigger grief, and will also provide helpful ideas and suggestions to help people prepare for the holidays after a significant loss.
The seminar, open to the public and free of charge, will take place at the second-floor conference room at the hospital’s east entrance. Presenters will be Margaret Casey, LSW, and George McLaughlin, bereavement coordinator for Northern Light Home Care and Hospice.
According to hospice staff, in spite of what most people say, everyone does not look forward to the holidays. Those who have lost someone through death may dread this holiday season. Holidays often magnify the feelings of loss of a loved one. It is important and natural to experience that sadness.
