Bank names new marketing officer

HOULTON, Maine — Katahdin Trust is recently announced the promotion of Sam Clockedile to marketing officer.

In this role, he will be responsible for the implementation of the bank’s advertising campaigns, branch merchandise, promotional material and marketing communications for all 16 locations from Fort Kent to Scarborough.

“Sam is a key member of our marketing team and this promotion reflects his dedication and commitment to Katahdin Trust,” said Krista K. Putnam, senior vice president, marketing.

“We are proud of his accomplishments and look forward to his continued knowledge in all aspects of our Bank’s brand and community involvement efforts,” Putnam said.

Clockedile has eight years of bank marketing experience, joining Katahdin Trust in 2010 as marketing assistant. He was named marketing coordinator in 2015 and most recently served as marketing and advertising specialist, based at the bank’s operations Center in Houlton.

In May 2018, Clockedile obtained his Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) certification.

A native of Mars Hill, he graduated from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, where he attained his BS in business administration and management.

In addition to his CFMP certification, he has completed the Young Professionals Institute, Northern New England School of Banking, and American Bankers Association’s Bank Marketing School. He has also earned his Supervisor Certificate, Bank Marketing and General Banking Diplomas from the Northern New England Center for Financial Training.

He resides in Mars Hill with his wife, Abby, and son, Jayce.
