CARIBOU, Maine – Judith A. McKee, 73, wife of the late Kenneth McKee, died October 29, 2018 at Van Buren. She was born in Caribou, March 16, 1945, the daughter of the late Arthur and Phyllis (Day) Johnson.
Judith was a graduate of Lee Academy, as well as Thomas College. Following high school, she served with the US Navy. Mrs. McKee was employed as a secretary for over 45 years at various locations with the Civil Service. She was a member of the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kendra and Brent Melvin of Brewer; one son, William McKee of Bangor; two sisters, Sandra Johnson and partner, Judith Monroe of Hallowell, and Karen Johnson of MN; two grandchildren, Kayla Melvin and Katheryn McKee; a great-granddaughter, Madelyn Kienow; and a sister-in-law, Sue Estler.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her friends, Peggy Nichols, Claire Hodgens, Mark Wagner and Karin and Roland Dionne, for all of their help and care given to Judy these past few months.
