Maine Dairy and Nutrition Council representatives recently visited three Aroostook County schools that have received funds from the organization this year. Vaughn Chase of Chase’s Organic Dairy Farm in Mapleton joined them at Central Aroostook Jr.-Sr. High School to present a $2,062 Fuel Up to Play 60 grant to be used for promoting healthy eating and physical activity at the school. The school has purchased smoothie blenders, pedometers and a challenge board to challenge students to eat healthfully and increase activity.
