HOULTON, Maine — Elementary students at the Greater Houlton Christian Academy celebrated Thanksgiving two days early as the school held its annual First Thanksgiving recreation event Tuesday.
Each year, the school holds a “Thanksgiving Parade” and an all-school Chapel. Elementary students dress up as Pilgrims or Native Americans to recreate the first Thanksgiving. Many classrooms also enjoyed a turkey dinner feast at lunchtime.
