HOULTON, Maine — Katahdin Trust recently held a year-end celebration in honor of its 100th anniversary at each of its 16 locations throughout northern Maine, greater Bangor and greater Portland regions.
Customers and community members stopped by to enjoy refreshments, special anniversary giveaways and a heartfelt thank you from bank employees for joining in on the fun.
“Thank you to everyone who participated throughout the year to commemorate 100 years of community banking,” said Jon Prescott, president and CEO. “It has been a great time and we couldn’t be more proud of what we have accomplished together. This celebration was a great way to end our 100th anniversary year.”
Katahdin Trust’s anniversary activities included bank-wide celebrations to thank customers, participation in community events and parades, an employee appreciation night, special support of various community projects and more. The bank also announced it will launch a new look to their website in the New Year.
“We place a high priority on our commitment to community,” said Prescott. “It was a central theme in our year-long celebration, promoting our towns and cities as great places to live, work and play while highlighting our Bank’s anniversary.
“It is a privilege to support the banking needs of our friends and neighbors and we look forward to doing so for the next one hundred years,” he said.
