Family Reading Night was held Dec. 12 at Mill Pond School. Maryann Sylvain, right, a retired math teacher, and Joe Fagnant, director of the Houlton Higher Education Center, were the guest readers and read the story of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." Paul LaPointe played the guitar and led the children in singing some holiday songs. Children enjoyed a snack and made a craft. The Houlton Higher Education Center gave all students in attendance a free book to take home. (Contributed)
