Dreaming of a White Christmas, well dream no more:  it’s here. The snow just seems relentless this year.  Now, on go to the happenings at the Daughters of Isabella Caribou Circle.  Chaplain Fr. Agustin offered grace. A delicious catered meal was enjoyed by all those in attendance.  The 50/50 winner was Iris Pelletier and she donated her winnings back to the Circle. December birthday gift recipient was Dolores Martin; ‘Happy Birthday’ was sung.

Thank you to our evening’s committee: Mary Ellen Field, Phyllis Belanger, Nancy Saucier and Deb Chabre.  Our tables were beautifully decorated.

Regent Elaine Haines called to order a short business meeting. Regent Elaine thanked our new Chaplain Fr. Agustin for joining us.  The Circle recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Fr. Agustin shared a message with us.  We need to be watchful always and pray for people all over the world.  The Church needs our different organizations; we are the helping hands.  We need to visit those around us in hospitals, nursing homes, our neighbors.

Chancellor Long shared the December reflection focused on the Fourth Joyful Mystery.  Roll Call of Officers was conducted. Vice Regent Dolores Martin moved to dispense with the reading of the November minutes with a second by Elizabeth Long.  Financial Secretary Gail Hjort moved to dispense of any money-related matters with a second by Deb Chabre. Regent Elaine thanked our caterers Michelle Hanson and Holly Madore.

Communications for this month included:  State Regent Martha Dufour sent a message…we are called to be instruments of hope to one another. State Chaplain Fr. Lionel Chouinard sent a message…which charities do we give to as this time of year finds us receiving many requests.  Our giving should include prayer and service.

The ladies gave money and items for the Baby Jesus Layettes.  Money will be given to Diane Adams to purchase yarn for future sweater sets.

Vice Regent Dolores Martin sent cards to Norma Shaw, Annette Harmon, Ozeline Fisher, Claire Randolph, Bea Pirie, Theresa Wunderlich, Omerine Cyr, Sharon Ellis, and Leah Girardin. She will be sending Christmas cards to our homebound and those in nursing homes.

40-Week Club:  No winners from our Circle.

Reminder to continue praying our Rosary for the 31 Club.

Remember to place your vote for Queen Isabella.

Christmas cards / gifts were presented to our priests.

The first Tuesday in January is New Year’s; our January meeting will be on Tuesday, January 8th.

Vice Regent Dolores presented Regent Elaine with a Christmas card/gift from our Circle.

Chaplain Fr. Agustin offered our Closing Prayer.

Festivities included exchange of gifts and door prizes.  Due to inclement weather and late hour, we ended with one Christmas song.  Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
