Loring Job Corps Youth 2 Youth conducts paper product drive

Loring Job Corps Youth 2 Youth ambassadors recently conducted a paper products drive to support the Presque Isle Homeless Shelter. The project coincided with a weeklong campaign of events encouraging both staff and students to conduct community service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. At the shelter, delivering the collected paper plates, toilet paper, towels and plastic cutlery are, from left, Loring student Robert Eason, Y2Y adviser Maggie Saucier and student Nore Hammudeh. Shelter staff were overwhelmed and said the donations would go a long way to help the community’s ongoing efforts to combat homelessness.  (Courtesy of Roger Felix)
