With many schools cancelled and others released early, what would have been a busy Wednesday locally is now very quiet.
The Houlton at Presque Isle girls basketball game will now be played Thursday, with the JV game at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity game at 7 p.m.
The Katahdin at Fort Fairfield boys’ varsity game was called off and is now set for Thursday as part of a tripleheader at FFHS. The JV girls’ game begins at 4 p.m., followed by the varsity girls at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity boys at 7 p.m.
The Central Aroostook at Fort Kent girls’ game has been moved from Wednesday to Saturday, Feb. 2 at noon. East Grand at Hodgdon girls will now be played Friday, at 6 p.m.
The Maine Maritime Academy at University of Maine at Presque Isle basketball games, scheduled for Wednesday at Wieden Gymnasium, will now be played Tuesday, Feb. 5. The men’s game is at 5:30 p.m., followed by the women’s game at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday’s alpine ski meet at Lonesome Pine Trails at Fort Kent has also been called off.
