The Halfway Home Pet Rescue received this van thanks to a donation from the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation of Freeport. Staff and volunteers will use the vehicle to help transport pet supplies and equipment to help area homeless cats.

Halfway Home Pet Rescue has been notified of low-cost spay/neuter opportunities through the Spay/Maine volunteers.
To apply for low-income assistance to spay or neuter Aroostook County cats, please email Susan Hall at taratyrone1@gmail.com with your name, address, telephone and what type of low-income assistance you might have. These limited funds will be issued on a first come, first served basis.
This spring’s program for the national spay/neuter initiative is “BEAT the HEAT.” The aim is to sterilize pet cats before spring and prevent unwanted and homeless summer kittens.
