Weather delights snowmobilers

Who said, “Enough with the Snow”?  Certainly the Chapman Ridge Runner Snowmobilers are delighted with the snow on the trails.  March will take everyone into spring, but it is generally considered to be the snowiest month of the winter.

The club will celebrate the winter with its monthly directors’ meeting tonight, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile Clubhouse on Town Hall Road, Chapman.

Then on Saturday, March 9, at 6 p.m., a fun filled soup and sandwich night will be held for members only. Those attending should bring one to share. A highlight of the evening will be a rousing Bingo session.

For more information, call Sue Maynard.

Parent-teacher conferences

There is still time to schedule parent-teacher conferences at Mapleton Elementary School.  They will be held on Monday, March 11, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., and Tuesday, March 12, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Mapleton Elementary is offering online registration for the spring conferences.  This online registration gives parents the opportunity to schedule conferences at times that best fit their needs as well as the opportunity to choose teachers they would like to see.

Questions and comments about the process are welcome by the school. For those parents who do not have internet access or encounter difficulties registering, assistance is available from the school at 764-1589.

Senior meeting

The Mapleton, Chapman and Castle Hill Seniors held their potluck luncheon at the Mapleton Methodist Church on Monday, March 4.

After the next meeting, the group will learn a new craft project.  Caroline Ballerstein reminds everyone over age 55 that they are invited to attend and join the group.  It is a traditional potluck lunch, so bring something and enjoy the lunch prepared by experienced cooks.

Fundraising dinner

The West Chapman Advent Christian Church thanks all those friends and members who came out for dinner last Saturday evening.

The church appreciates the support and donations they received through the fundraising dinner.

Everyone is welcome to attend worship services at the church each Sunday, with Sunday school starting at 9:30 a.m., followed by the worship service at 10:45 a.m.
