PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Northern Maine Community College will host its annual job fair on Thursday, March 21, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the college gymnasium.
The event will provide an opportunity for the public to meet with employment representatives from over 75 businesses, organizations, and government entities from throughout The County and Maine — all under one roof.
“This is the largest job fair we have hosted to date,” said Ruth White, regional director of the EMBARK program. “We have some longstanding employers joining us, but we also have some new companies joining the fair.”
The NMCC Job Fair, the largest in Aroostook, brings together a wide range of employers who are looking for skills from nurses, electricians, truck drivers, construction, heavy equipment operators, accountants, manager trainees, healthcare providers plus many more. There are jobs across all education levels, full and part time, as well as internship opportunities.
In addition to various business, there will be representatives from Northern Maine Community College, Husson University and the University of Maine at Presque Isle to encourage attendees to continue their educational journey.
White said job seekers should bring their professional resume and be prepared for an interview to take place upon an employer’s request. There will be a designated area of the gymnasium for employers to conduct interviews as they wish.
The job fair is open to everyone interested in applying for a job or those who want to become acquainted with the opportunities open to them.
