Is everyone as tired of winter as I am? Our TOPS meeting was held on Friday, March 29, at the Aldergate Building.
There were nine KOPS and four KOPS members present. The loser of the week was Diane Folsom amd the runners-up were Janette Nelson and Barbara Troy.
Our Houlton chapter is hosting a workshop on June 8. We discussed the theme for this year and the type of centerpieces for our tables. More on this later.
Barbara Troy led us in our exercise program. We are going to start with one- or two-pound weights next week. So don’t forget your hand weights. No weights? Start with soup cans and gradually increase.
Betty Wyman and Diane Folsom did our program, taken from an issue of Reader’s Digest. They asked us health questions such as, ” Does cold weather make you sick?”,” Do all heart attacks involve chest pain?”, “Do you put ice on a burn?”,” Does being overweight shorten your life span?” There were more.
Are you curious? Come join our group for more health tips, great exercise and most importantly, a great support system. Just that little “great job” or “You will do better next week” is enough to make us try harder, or a call from someone helps us through a tough time.
