CARIBOU, Maine — A Washburn man has been indicted on multiple domestic violence charges after allegedly ramming his wife’s vehicle last year.
Aroostook County District Attorney Todd Collins released the grand jury indictments for March and April on Monday.
The grand jury indicted Easton C. Bull, 40, on charges of aggravated assault, domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening with a weapon, aggravated criminal mischief, and reckless conduct.
The charges stem from a Nov. 1, 2018, incident when Washburn police responded to a late evening call about two SUVs speeding in the area of McManus and Hines streets. The caller reported that one of the vehicles had driven onto the homeowner’s yard and spun out before speeding off onto New Dunntown Road.
After receiving a second call, police concluded that the incident was related to a domestic violence assault reported on Storey Street. Police say Bull “rammed his wife’s unoccupied car” in their driveway and then drove off after a Jeep driven by another woman because he believed his wife was a passenger.
Officers reported that Bull struck the Jeep several times during the chase and in the process also damaged several mailboxes, stop signs and lawns.
Police located and arrested him later that evening.
