PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Three people are facing drug-related charges in Presque Isle after local police reported finding methamphetamine and heroin in a vehicle an officer pulled over on Friday.
Around 2:30 a.m. on May 10, Presque Isle police officer Tyler Cote stopped a vehicle on Mechanic Street and, after speaking with the three occupants, determined that the police had an arrest warrant out for the female passenger on a probation violation, according to a press release.
Cote then conducted a search and reported finding the female in possession of methamphetamine. A further search of the vehicle and two male occupants turned up 41 “tickets” or doses of heroin, plus four grams of methamphetamine, suboxone and other pills, according to the release.
Police charged the male passenger with trafficking in scheduled drugs and violation of condition of release. They charged the male driver with possession of methamphetamine, and the female passenger with possession of methamphetamine. Officers also arrested the woman on the probation violation charge.
Police did not identify any of the individuals and no further information was immediately available.
