CARIBOU, Maine — A Stockholm man was indicted by the Aroostook County grand jury this month for several domestic violence related and drug charges.
District Attorney Todd Collins said Monday that Christopher J. Rossignol, 31, was indicted for domestic violence reckless conduct, domestic violence terrorizing, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, operating a motor vehicle without a license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
The charges stem from an incident that allegedly took place last month in Stockholm.
According to the indictment, Rossignol allegedly used a rifle to “recklessly create a substantial risk of serious bodily injury” to a family or household member. He reportedly threatened to commit or have committed a dangerous violent crime against the victim. This left the victim with the “reasonable fear that the crime would be committed.”
At the time of the incident, Rossignol also was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine, and was found operating his vehicle without a license and without the proper registration, court documents stated.
Maine State Police Trooper Nathan Desrosier arrested Rossignol on the day of the April 21 incident.
