Presque Isle flags to continue flying

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — At their regular monthly meeting on Monday, May 20, 2019, members of the American Legion Post 88 of Presque Isle began planning in order to resume the holiday American flag displays along the city’s business district, including Main, Industrial, Parsons and North streets and the Houlton Road.

A meeting of the American Legion executive committee, with members of the Presque Isle Elks Lodge 1954, and any veterans desiring to participate in the flag program in Presque Isle, will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at the American Legion Post at 365 Central Drive in Presque Isle. Participants will complete plans for the upcoming holiday flag displays.

All military veterans and active service personnel who wish to participate in the American Legion project are encouraged to attend.
