HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Parks and Recreation Department is offering a new “Night of Tennis” program starting June 19 at Houlton Community Park.
Everyone is welcome to participate, whether they are new to the game or have previous experience. The group will go over the basic fundamentals of the game along with learning new skills to improve your performance.
Each week the class will focus on a different skill, starting with the basics and working up. Participants will also play many games, ending the program with a friendly tournament.
Those who are looking to learn new skills or simply want to play tennis with a group of people who share the same interest are encouraged to attend.
This six-week program will be held every Wednesday at the Community Park courts from 6-7 p.m. through July 31. Participants must be 16 years of age or older to sign up. There is limited space. The cost of the programs will be $30 for Houlton resident and $45 for non-Houlton resident. Registration is required.
