HOULTON, Maine — Tracy Rockwell, Rotary president for 2019-2020, announced Monday at their Annual Rotary Supper that the club is now accepting project funding requests for the upcoming year.
Requests should include a short explanation of your groups’ project, the amount requested, and for whom the project will benefit. All requests should be submitted prior to July 8. Requests can be mailed to Houlton Rotary Club, P.O. Box 425, Houlton, Maine 04730 attn: Tracy Rockwell, or email them to tracy.rockwell@maine.edu.
“Our goal is to donate $30,000 this year to local projects, funded by the Rotary Auction, E-Waste, Bingo, and other Rotary fundraisers,” Rockwell said. “Past projects have included the Mill Pond Playground Expansion, Little League Snack Shack, Just for Kids Playground, Houlton Riverfront Project, Northern Maine Soap Box Derby, Houlton Amphitheater, Cary Library, Houlton Elementary School Basketball Court, Putnam House, Senior Center, Temple Cinema free matinee, The Salvation Army Houlton utility trailer, Houlton Area Little League, Adopt-a-Block of Aroostook, Backpacks for Kids, Aid for Kids, McGill’s Community Band, and many more.”
