This group enjoys the annual David J. Lyon Washburn District Elementary School Fun Day, held recently for PreK to grade 5 students under ideal weather conditions. Students participated in events like the traditional three-legged relay, egg and spoon relay and 50/100 meter dash, as well as some new additions like cornhole and race to the beach. Other events included save the whale, chicken stir fry, sponge relay, water ballon toss, obstacle course, cake pan relay and face painting. Steven Boddy travelled north to provide the always popular music. A barbecue lunch of burgers and hot dogs was provided.
