CARIBOU, Maine — The annual Aroostook Saving and Loan Viking Run will be held at the Caribou High School track at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2. Registration for the 10 different children’s races begins at 8:15 a.m.
Runners from age 2 up to the eighth-grade are encouraged to attend. Pre-K and kindergarten runners compete in a quarter-mile run. The first, second, third and fourth graders run a half-mile and the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eight graders run one mile.
There will be trophies for the top 3 male and female finishers in each race. Ribbons and tee-shirts will be awarded to all the young athletes who take part.
