AUGUSTA, Maine — Senate President Troy Jackson, D-Allagash, will hold public office hours in central Aroostook County Sept. 6 and Sept. 16.
The first session will take place from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, in the Great Room at the Aroostook Hospitality Inn, 95 Main St., Van Buren.
Subsequent office hours will be on Monday, Sept 16, as follows.
Limestone: 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the town office, 93 Main St.
Washburn: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Barbara Porter Room at the Washburn Memorial LIbrary, 1290 Main St.
Ashland, 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Recreation Department, Exchange St.
“While there is always more work to do, I’m proud of the progress we made this session to reduce pressure on property taxes, hold Big Pharma accountable and support good-paying jobs in rural Maine,” said Jackson. “I encourage folks from communities in central Aroostook to stop by and ask any questions they may have.”
