EASTON, Maine — The Easton Fire Department and the Pine Tree Burn Foundation will host a golf scramble at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, at the West Ridge Road Golf Course to benefit the Pine Tree Burn Foundation.
The family-friendly event is open to all ages. Fire department personnel will be on site providing food. The foundation will be there to offer information and will have commemorative coins available for purchase.
A donation of $75 is suggested for the sponsoring town/community. Multiple four-person teams and children can play for no additional cost. Pre-registration is strongly recommended. For more information, contact Jennifer White at 207-227-8633.

‘Starlight’ on the road
The Francis Malcolm Science Center will take “Starlight and Cosmic Color” with director Larry Berz on the road from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Aroostook Agency on Aging in Presque Isle.
