SMYRNA, Maine — It was at the Smyrna Merrill Historical Society that the Purple Hat ladies held their Sept. 10 meeting. The beautiful fall colors of orange, brown and yellow were the table decorations.
Brenda Lacostic was the winner of the monthly drawing. After our delicious luncheon of bacon wrapped chicken and all the fixin’s was served the business meeting was opened. Our PurpleHat poem was read by all. Good Friends A Purple Hat, Life doesn’t get any better than that.
The Pass It On game was won by Brenda Lacostic — it was Brenda’s lucky day. The menu for our Christmas luncheon was decided on. Betty Wyman read Lil’ Ol Ladies, We’re Not!
