U.S. Senator Susan Collins was among special guests at Cary Medical Center’s 95th anniversary celebration earlier this month at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center.
“I am delighted to join in celebrating 95 years of dedication, expertise and compassion,” said Collins. “Cary was built in 1924 as a community hospital with the emphasis on ‘community.’ It was built on the foundation laid by Dr. Jefferson Cary, a physician as devoted to the City of Caribou as he was to the practice of medicine.” At the celebration are, from left: Dr. Carl Flynn; Tufts University students Stephen Soohey of Whitefield and Jacquelyn O’Sullivan of Weymouth, Massachusetts; and Kris Doody, RN, Cary CEO.
