Presque Isle native earns excellence award

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Linette Casey, daughter of Gordon and Charlene Buzza of Presque Isle and a 1996 graduate of Presque Isle High School, recently received an Excellence in Character Award from POWERGEN International.

Casey, who works for Siemens Energy Inc. in South Easton, Massachusetts, is the key account manager for all of New England, working with renewable developers, power producers, engineering firms, private equity firms and higher education facilities.

She has been with Siemens for 18 years and prior to that she provided logistics support to the Navy SEALs. 

She earned her bachelor’s degree in international business and logistics from Maine Maritime Academy in 1999, and her master’s degree in management from Troy State University in Florida in 2001.

According to an article on renewableenergyworld.com, Casey was one of five winners of the first Excellence in Character Awards. She and her fellow awardees were invited to serve on a panel Nov. 20 at the Lunch for Better Balance in New Orleans, and will each receive a plaque recognizing their achievement.
