CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou Police Department arrested Robert Dobbins, 24, of Caribou and charged him with two counts of criminal attempt, burglary, a class B felony, and violation of condition of release, a class C felony, police said on Nov. 25.
Dobbins’ arrest comes after a roughly two-week investigation by the Caribou Police Department, which received multiple complaints regarding suspicious activity, the burglary of local homes and vehicles, as well as attempted burglary.
“People also reported seeing a suspicious man walking around,” the release stated, “checking door handles and looking into people’s vehicles and residences.”
Eric Depner was the investigating officer in the case, and Sgt. Keith Ouellette aided in the arrest.
As of Nov. 25, Dobbins is in Aroostook County Jail. He was denied bail, and his initial court date is set for Jan. 9, 2020.
