CARIBOU, Maine — NASA astronaut Jessica Meir of Caribou was joined by fellow astronauts Luca Parmitano, Christina Koch and Andrew Morgan in wishing all on Earth happy holidays from the International Space Station on Dec. 23.
In a video posted to the International Space Station’s Twitter account, Meir said that, as a child, she was “fortunate enough to celebrate two different holidays” throughout the season, both Christmas and Hanukkah.
“So whatever it is that you’re celebrating this holiday season, we hope that you find peace and love and enjoy spending time with all those around you that are important,” said Meir.
Meir added that she and her fellow astronauts would be celebrating on the International Space Station with a selection of items that included smoked salmon, fruitcake, hot apple cider and hot cocoa.
