HOULTON, Maine — Lois Morin, widow of Roger J. Morin, presented Jody Anderson, master of Monument Lodge, with a self-portrait her late husband to celebrate his becoming a Master Mason in 2008.
Morin presented the portrait to Anderson during a special ceremony Wednesday, Feb. 12. Roger Morin, known as Maine’s Masonic artist, died July 8, 2019.
The 6-foot by 4-foot Masonic painting, “Living Our History,” was displayed for two months at the George Washington Memorial in Alexandria, Virginia in 2008.
“Roger is well remembered as a Mason who shared his personal skills with and for the betterment of Masonry,” said Richard Rhoda, a member of Monument Lodge No. 96 in Houlton.
