HOULTON, Maine — The Maine State Police Troop F barracks in Houlton responded to a number of calls for service during the period of March 2-8, 2020, including the following.
Monday, March 2
FRENCHVILLE — Trooper Curtin was checking the local area for people who had outstanding warrants for their arrest when he obtained information that a Frenchville woman had a warrant for her arrest for failing to appear in court. She was located at her home and arrested without incident.
Wednesday, March 4
MERRILL — Tr. Sylvia responded to a vacant house in Merrill for a theft complaint. A property management company reported the theft of a water heater from the property that they had been working on. The investigation into the theft is ongoing.
Thursday, March 5
LUDLOW — Tr. Sylvia charged a 19-year-old Chapman woman with criminal speed on I-95 in Ludlow. Tr. Sylvia had been monitoring traffic on the interstate when he clocked a northbound vehicle at 107 mph. He pulled the vehicle over and ultimately charged the teenager with criminal speed. She was summoned to Houlton District Court for the violation.
BLAINE — Sgt. Haines provided ALICE training to a group of Aroostook County recreation directors.
