Vehicle registration — The City of Presque Isle has developed forms to help residents with registering a new vehicle purchased from a dealer or by private sale, as well as vehicle re-registrations. Visit facebook.com to download the forms or learn more.

Moose permit lottery — This year’s Maine moose permit drawing, an iconic event that attracts thousands of spectators annually, will be a virtual event scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 13. The drawing was originally planned in Jackman, but with COVID-19 restrictions this year’s lottery will be broadcast virtually. Jackman will host the 2021 lottery. The deadline for applying is 11:59 p.m. on May 14. Visit mefishwildlife.com for information and to fill out a moose permit application.

Faith opportunities — The Diocese of Portland said live-streamed daily and Sunday Masses will continue at Maine parishes. Locally: Parish of the Precious Blood, Caribou/Presque Isle areas: Visit the Parish Facebook page. Weekend Masses: Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m. Daily Masses: Monday – Friday at 8:30 a.m. This information will continue to be updated at portlanddiocese.org. Real ID — The Department of Homeland Security has extended the Real ID enforcement deadline by one year. Enforcement will now begin on Oct. 1, 2021. The Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles is currently closed due to virus prevention efforts and therefore cannot process Real ID-compliant credentials. Standard Maine credentials (driver’s licenses and IDs) will be accepted as valid identification for federal purposes through September 2021.
