ENFIELD, Connecticut — Farm Credit East, a customer-owned cooperative lender, has announced the results of its recent director elections and board reorganization meeting.
Barry Buck of Mapleton was one of three members elected by stockholders to serve four-year terms on the board of directors.
Buck is co-owner and cooperatively manages crop production, marketing and sales at Buck Farms, a 1,000-acre cash crop and potato farm.
Also elected were Douglas Shelmidine of Adams, New York, and David “Skip” Hardie of Groton, New York.
The 16-member board represents the diversity of Northeast agriculture and forest products.
Farm Credit East is a customer-owned agricultural cooperative and part of the nationwide Farm Credit System. Farm Credit East serves Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island.
