PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Presque Isle Police released new details Wednesday about the suspects in a road rage shooting that occurred on Thursday.

Around 5:45 p.m. on June 4, a 25-year-old Caribou resident said he was shot at multiple times during a road rage incident while driving on Route 1 in Presque Isle. The victim — whose name is being withheld because he fears retaliation — was not injured but found a bullet hole in his rear license plate. Police found the bullet embedded in the back seat.

Three people who were traveling behind the victim and the assailant at the time of the incident contacted them, police said. Another person who lived nearby provided police with a video clip from a home surveillance system that shows the victim and suspect driving past.

From that information, police have a possible description of the suspects in the shooting.

Police said they are looking for a dark blue late model vehicle — meaning a vehicle that has been recently manufactured — with dark tinted windows and bright blue HID headlights. They said it could possibly be a Toyota or Honda-brand vehicle.

Police described the vehicle’s driver as a man in his 40s or 50s with white or light blond hair, and the passenger as in his late 20s, with a dark tan complexion and brown hair.

Presque Isle Police are asking anyone with information about the vehicle or either passenger to call them at 207-764-4476.
