LITTLETON, Maine — The Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum will open for the summer season on Thursday and will continue every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.
The museum will be closed July 4th.
The museum volunteers will practice social distancing and assist visitors with information as needed. Visitors are requested to use masks when entering the building for admission. There will be information for touring so as not to come in contact with other visitors. Once people have started the tour they may remove their mask if so desired with their own group.
Many items have been added and due to the limited windows in the main museum it is very cool and enjoyable on these hot days. Admission is $5 per person and $3 for students. The latest building to open is the Cole Building with some snow equipment already moved in, courtesy of Scotty Nevers of Merrill.
Joellen Merry, volunteer coordinator, will be on hand to welcome guests and is looking for additional personnel who could volunteer a few hours a month.

Since COVID-19 shut down most of the state, the museum has not been able to host its monthly public suppers, but on Saturday, July 18 there will be a Take-out Turkey Supper Drive through. A home-cooked dinner with all the extras, even a side of baked beans if one wants. A brownie dessert and bottled water will be included. The event will be by donation, so come support this museum event. There will be several picnic tables available outside if one chooses to stay and eat.
