PATTEN, Maine — Roads in the Patten area are getting a much-needed facelift this summer.
A number of resurfacing projects are slated by the Maine Department of Transportation. According to the MDOT website, a total of 9.93 miles of road from Mount Chase to Patten was resurfaced at an estimated cost of $474,000.
Other projects include a section of road beginning 1.84 miles east of the Trout Brook Township to the T6 R8 WELS town line and extending east 15.24 miles, at a cost of $728,000 and drainage improvements beginning just south of the Patten town line and extending north almost a quarter-of-a-mile, at a cost of $97,000.
