HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Police Department is looking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect believed to be connected with two burglaries that occurred early Tuesday morning.

“HPD has a zero tolerance for this type of activity and is working diligently to investigate these incidents,” Houlton Police Chief Tim Deluca said. “We are asking for assistance from our community to identify the person(s) responsible and an arrest can be made.”

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s, with a thin build and wearing dark shorts, a gray hoodie with hood up and sneakers. The suspect is believed to be traveling on foot, though the police said there is a possibility he is using a vehicle.

The burglaries occurred in the area around Franklin and Pearce avenues in Houlton. Police have  responded to similar incidents over the past few weeks that may or may not be connected to this case.

The police are advising residents to not confront the suspect and to call 911 if they see any suspicious activity.

Police are asking anyone who may have video footage during that time period in the area to contact police. Anyone with information may call police at 207-532-2287.
