PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Crown of Maine Balloon Fest organizers of this year’s modified activities have rescheduled events originally scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 29, to Sunday, Aug. 30, due to anticipated rain.
According to Jordyn Madore of the organizing committee, both the Presque Isle Fire Department fundraising barbecue and the Star City Syndicate concert will now take place at the same times on Sunday, with the barbecue starting at 5 p.m. and the concert at 6 p.m. Both will be held at the Nordic Heritage Center.
Events planned tonight, Friday, Aug. 28, will still take place at the Nordic Heritage Center, with the free hot dog cookout at 6 p.m. and lawn showing of “The Wizard of Oz” at 7:30 p.m.
The COMBF committee intends to follow State of Maine guidelines for outdoor gatherings and asks attendees to wear a mask and maintain social distancing when participating in these events.
