HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Parks and Recreation Department is offering several after school fun programs starting Sept. 15.
Each Tuesday, starting Sept. 15, a crafty kids session will be offered, while on Wednesdays, starting Sept. 16, games galore is available and on Thursdays, starting Sept. 17, science explorers will be offered.
Each program will run for four weeks. The programs will be held at the Rec Center and are open to youth in Grades K-6. Each program is open to a maximum of 20 children and there is a minimum of 15 children to hold each program.
Registration for the programs will be held on Thursday, Sept. 3, and Friday, Sept. 4 by calling the recreation department at 532-1310 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The crafty kids and science explorer each cost $50 for Houlton residents or $75 for non-Houlton residents, while the games galore program is $60 for Houlton residents and $80 for non-Houlton residents. Payment is due on or before Sept. 11.
Each afternoon will be filled with a variety of arts and crafts, games, contests, science fun and more. When weather permits the programs will be outdoors. For more information, contact the Houlton Recreation Department at 532-1310.
