PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A Fort Fairfield family law magistrate has been named as one of Governor Janet Mills’ six candidates for Maine District Court judge.
Rob A. Langner of Fort Fairfield, who serves on the Maine District Court in Presque Isle, is the only northern Maine candidate chosen.
Langner earned his bachelor of arts in English from Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School, also located in Massachusetts. He has served as the assistant district attorney for Aroostook County, an associate attorney for L. Ayoob Law Offices and as a law clerk for the Manchester, New Hampshire, firm Raimo and Murphy.
Langner joins nominees Sarah I. Gilbert, partner and founder of the Camden Law firm; James F. Martemucci, a partner at the Germani Martemucci and Hill law firm in Portland; Sarah Churchill, attorney at the Portland-based firm Nichols and Churchill; and two reappointed Maine District Court judges Rick E. Lawrence of Portland and Charles A. Dow of Winthrop.
Gov. Mills’ nominees will go before the Maine Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Judiciary and the Maine State Senate for confirmation.
