DANFORTH, Maine — Nathaniel Farr, a senior at East Grand School, has been selected to receive the 2021 MPA Principal’s Award for the school. This award is given each year in recognition of a high school senior’s academic excellence and good citizenship.
“Nathaniel is highly deserving of this award, over the years he has shown his dedication to his academics, achieving class valedictorian,” said Margaret White, superintendent/principal for SAD 14.
Farr’s activities include being a National Honor Society member, varsity baseball player for two years, and a first aid/CPR instructor.
Farr and White, along with other award winners and their principals, will participate in a virtual drawing on May 14 for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship. There will be 10 scholarships drawn statewide.
The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 140 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association, which represents Maine’s school administrators.
Farr is the son of Lori and Tom Farr of Danforth. Nathaniel plans to attend American Public University, Manassas, Virginia, and major in cybersecurity.
