PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A vehicle crashed through a front window at the Irish Setter Pub after the driver hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes, according to Presque Isle police.

Around noon Wednesday pub owner Sonny Keegan was in his office when he heard a loud shattering of glass coming from the dining area. Upon discovering the crash, one of his employees contacted the Presque Isle Police Department.

Officer Dale Keegan arrived at the restaurant soon afterward. He found that the driver of the vehicle, whose name has not been released, was attempting to park when they accidentally put their foot on the gas pedal instead of the brakes. The vehicle then crashed through the window and landed in a small dining area near the window.

No one was sitting in the dining area at the time of the crash, according to Keegan. The driver was injured and will not face charges. There were no other injuries.
